To cover the costs of editorial management, peer review, production, and online hosting, the journal requires an Article Processing Charge (APC) from authors upon acceptance of their manuscript.

• When to Pay: After manuscript acceptance, before final publication.
• Payment Method: Secure online payment via PayPal.

There are no submission fees; authors are only required to pay if their article is accepted for publication.

Waivers and Discounts

To support researchers from developing countries and early-career scientists, J Open & Bioscience and Environment offers partial or full APC waivers based on financial need and institutional funding.

Eligible for APC Waivers:

• Authors from low-income countries (as classified by the World Bank).
• Researchers with limited institutional funding.
• Young scientists and students publishing their first research paper.

Authors requesting waivers must submit a formal request during the manuscript submission process.

Refund Policy

• No refunds are provided once an article has been processed and published.
• If an author withdraws their manuscript after acceptance, a partial refund may be considered based on editorial costs incurred.
